AEV highline kit and 35"

Hi there,
i'm looking for some experience with different lift kits
Just bought 04 Rubi and want to run 35" on it. I was pretty happy with RE staff on my trail XJ for some years, but here is the question: is anybody tried AEV highline kit with let'"s say 2" boost and long trvel shocks to run 35"? I just wan to keep it as low as possible...
Also, any thoughts about other brands?
Thanks

ome (old man emu) 2.5" lift

Rubicon Express 4.5" SF kit with 3.5" springs and tube fenders would look killer with 35's

Geat tread, btw. Thanks

Thats the idea. LCG is the key, and if high rise fender/hood thing works (it does, obviously), what abot long travel suspention? Just shocks and springs?

depends.
with shocks and springs to get the down travel, your going to get lift. Go coil overs and you can get travel without as much lift.
What suspensions are you looking at?

the highline and 35's fit well with a 2" bb and 1" bumpstops.
when ya get carried away with shock length without relocating the mounts, you need longer bumpstops to keep the shocks from bottoming out.
the highlines are enough to run 35's on stock suspension with a 1" bl also.

mine is on a 2.5" rancho, 2" bumpstops front and rear, 26" long rancho shocks, 34" trXus mt's. it's clearanced for 37's with DIY highline fenders.

my plan eventual plan: 2.5" OME, 1" BL, highline tube fenders + 35s for offroad, skinny AT 33s for winter.

Well, i do think that RE makes the best spring on the market, but their is a lift issue... Coilovers are little pricey and i was trying to find something on, let's say, on a average buget...Still shoping around, not so sure yet.
Any toughts?

your suspension has a given amount of travel. As you set it up for increased down, you loose up. Unless you lift. this can be uncomfortable when hitting bumps and pot holes at speed.
RE does make nice stuff. But there are plenty of others that might be better.
Are you going long arm or short arm?

Another great text-))) Thanks

Let's put it this way. In my mind, ideal combo looks like LCG (high rise etc.), 2-2.5" lift (springs), longer (26-28") shocks, long arms (at least lower), telescoping drive shsft.

bad idea,
get a real set of long arms so your pinion angle doesn't travel all over the place
