AEV Brute Conversion Kit

Hey everyone, long time reader first time poster.

Have you seen the Brute Conversion Kit from AEV to turn you TJ into a pickup. I think it looks pretty cool but i'm not so keen on "extending" the frame.

What are your opinions?

-Jeremy

Buy a pickup.

That kit would be fun if I was loaded and could afford to have them drop in the Hemi and turn it into a Brute that was rocking 37"s. That ain't happening any time soon.

It doesn't come with the Hemi, suspension, tires, or anything like that. Just the fenders, hood, cab, bed, and frame extension. Basically...

Yeah thats what I'm saying. I would only get it if I could afford to go all the way.

If I had 10K to waste it would be a cool way to make your TJ unique... Otherwise if you want a Jeep pick-up buy a MJ.

I don't think it will be too long until we see 4dr JK's converted into a pick up format. I mean I know some people have done it to their LJ's, and even their SWB TJ's.

If I have 15k to throw around I might do this (dont fool yourself if you want the highline stuff and all the other cool kits it will be in the 12-15k ballpark) wait till a rich boy gets one gets sick of it and sells it then buy that

My first thought was that is a really dumb idea - until I looked at the finished product. With that said - it is absolutely pointless. But it does look really cool.

But you can't buy a pickup like that one.

It's cool, what about a scrambler and spend 15k to modify that...

I love the way that thing looks! I've always wanted one, but getting them from AEV cost a fortune, but so does doing it yourself! 9K plus the cost of a new paint job and all of the extra stuff that goes along with most projects sounds like another black hole to throw money into. Too rich for my blood...
