exhaust??

Wow, I have been eyeing this project for a while now and I am glad to see you are almost to the point of no return!!! I dont think I have seen it but forgive me if you've already pointed it out, but what are you doing as far as the exhaust goes? Are you gonna run duals or a rather large single outlet?? If it were me I would run duals that dump out right after the muffler, but I also dont have a HEMI in my garage waiting to get installed!! Keep up the awesome work and pics!!

last night I was pulling the shifters. DC has got to stop using these pem nuts. the t-case shifter is held on with pem nuts and they just spin. I had to bend the shifter plate to get a vise grip on them to get them out. those have to come out to get the shifter plate off. So I was already in a bad mood and the hole in the top of the tranny was worrying me. so I grabbed a wrag to stuff in the hole to keep things from falling in. The rag snags a loose shifter bolt and before I know it it falls right in the top of the tranny. after about an hour of magnet fishing and going to get a big allen wrench to drain the tranny got the bolt out but the night was over. Tonight I pulled the t-case. I think it will be easier with just the engine and tranny when I pull them out the front. BTW, the $44 trans adapter at Northern is not too bad. It was much easier than when I pulled the 231 and installed the 241 tcase the last time....

I am thinking dual but without mufflers. I have a set of spiral turbo baffles that fit inside a 4" pipe and eliminate the need for muffler cans. this way I think I can run 2 4" pipes side by side down the right side.

day 5 motor is out and in the trailer...... I cut off the passenger side upper front control arm bracket left over from the nth install and the passenger side engine mount. I slipped under it with a thin cutoff wheel and manged to keep it intact. If worse comes to worse I can weld this mount back on and go back.... I will tackle the driver side tomorrow.

today I finished removing the driver side motor mount and the driver side uca mount. also the dregs of the lower control arm mount. I cut too deep in a couple places due to access difficulties. I will have the ruts welded when I get the new mounts welded on. I painted it all with rust preventative paint so it doesnt rust in the fla humidity before I get back to it. I had to bend a lot of brake lines up out of the way and take the steering shaft apart. easiest place to take it apart is at the column. make sure the column is locked so you dont destroy the clockspring.

I also remoived the durango harness, motor mounts and extra brackets. I test fit the t-case. Nota4e was helping me in preparation so I knew the t-case was clocked wrong for the jeep. I am gong to make a drill fixture to trun the t-case approximately 11 degress clock wise as seen in this picture. The original position in the jeep had the lower t-case tool lug parallel to the floor. I will redrill the rear of the tranny to turn it the same amount so it doesnt hit my Nth tummy tuck plate.

Wait, so your doing a big expensive hemi-swap and dont even have a winch yet? Seems like that would have been the first thing you done.

What does something like that cost if you don't mind me asking and is he still doing such work for people?

Squire Inc in Mesa Arizona, you should call him for price, its not fair to him to publish his prices without his permission... I cant find his number but if you call Tera and ask for the harness kit they used to sell they will give you his number. If you cant get it that way IM me and I will see if I can find it in my paperwork.

Who needs a winch when you have 340 horse power! I love it!!!!! Almost looks like there's enough room for a big block . Wish I could join in the fun.
