adjust control arms?

well got my nth degree rear upper adj cont arms...all ends will screw in all the way except for one ...It does screw in far enough to be safe but Im just wondering how short I will need them to go so I can use them..

Does anyone know how long thier arms are ..upper rear? with a four in lift?

the shortest I can get out of these without sending back or ordering a new one is143/4 - about 15 inch from bolt hole to bolt hole..will this be short enough?

Factory control arm length is 15 3/4. You wont be going any shorter than that.

BTW, that is 15 3/4 from bolt hole center to bolt hole center, not overall length.

No offence, but the machining on those look's a little poor.
First, as you mention, one doesn't screw in as far as the other.
Two, the knurling isn't the same on both arms.
Three, the diameter is way small compared to the RE arms.
Anyway, they've still got to be better than the stock arms...

the fact that you can adjust them on the fly is pretty cool. Just be aware that they can unadjust while driving down the road if the nuts come loose. Make sure the jam nuts are good and tight when you get them installed.
Regards,
Bil

Not sure.
The heat and release type of locktite might be okay.
Maybe some others using the brand control arms might chip in, or may start a new thread with Nth Degree contol arms in the title?
regards,
Bil

The size of the upper control arms isn't as important as the lowers (which take more abuse). The problem I've heard about the Nth degree adjustable is they have a reputation for loosening up. The best solution I've heard of is to put Lock-tite on just 1 side of each control arm. Putting lock-tite on both ends stiffens the control arm too much, which stresses the control arm mounts (the stock and most other aftermarket control arms allow some flexibility to avoid this stress.

i'm running these exact ones in the upper rears. no problems loosening, but havent done any serious offroading yet. I got them when I did the SYE, the installer said these would be just fine, the Rubicon express ones are a little overkill at $200, these will do the same job. If anyone's ever broken these I'd like to know. I think it's pretty hard to break upper control arms.

I've had the Nth Degree arms on since december and have gone on many wheel'n trips. They're still nice and tight. Nothing has loosened up (heard about that, too, before I purchased) even though I didn't use Loctite.

The upper arms don't really see much force in the suspension, not like the lower ones do, so I'm confidence these are sufficiently safe for me. Despite appearances they're actually reasonably stout.

There was a similar issue with getting one of the threaded ends to screw in fully, though it was just the last 1/4 - 3/8" or so. Since I'm on a 2" lift, I needed to shorten them as much as possible. This was just perfect, my pinion angle now sits 1.5 deg. below the driveline angle. And being able to adjust them after they were installed was great. I just used a pipe wrench on the knurled part to keep twisiting the tube. No sweat. I think the tightness on the threaded ends has to do with how the center tubes were manufactured.
