AC Venting Issues

Have a 2002 Grand Cherokee. AC venting seems to close occasionally and the cold air blows somewhere other than the cabin. Seems to work fine at start up then mess up after it runs for while. Is there a trap door of some sort that I can adjust? It blows good and cold... when it blows. And when it doesn't blow... well ... you know! Please help!!!

Thanks! I have reposted it. But maybe it could be an issue in a TJ also?
