98 rear upper passenger shock mount

yes, i searched. most of what i found was for YJ's.

like the title says, my RR upper shock mount got ripped out while wheeling. took the shock out as soon as i found out, and drove 70 miles home on 3 shocks.

what can i do about fixing this? is the only way to drill and tap a new hole? or can i somehow access the top of the mounting location so i could just put a bolt through the hole and thread a nut onto the top side? the shock/barpin are fine.

You can get in there, but it's much easier with a 1.25" body lift. Otherwise you can loosen (not remove) your body mount bolts and lift the body up an inch or so to get to the nuts.

Or, you can do this and not have to worry about it again: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/ou...cation-929056/
