97TJ dash swap with 06TJ dash ??

Greetings,

I was told that the 06TJ chassis is different to 97TJ, and this swap won't fit in 97TJ. Just curious to know if anyone attempted this dash swap at all ?

I like to use new style heater/radio instruments in 06TJ, basically. Not sure if the new (06TJ) instrument cluster will work with my 97TJ or not. I know lot of things involved here, but not sure what they are

Thanks for any input.

AV

I'm not sure about the fitment of the dash, but I don't think it will work as the older heater controls were lever operated and I would guess you'd have to change the heater box also.

thanks. How about gauge cluster and rest of the dash wiring from 06TJ. Does 97 ECU works with 06TJ gauge cluster ? or Do i need to use 97 gauges ? I know there will be issue with my odometer reading, but just checking. And not sure if i use 06ECU, if that has any effect on the engine wiring/harness etc.. I am a newbee..sorry for tons of questions.
