97 wrangler warped intake?

I have a 1997 wrangler SE with about 118k miles on it. I just recently replaced my EVAP canister and now my RPM's are going crazy and not matching up. I'll be driving along and it'll take a while for the RPM's to drop back down and sometimes when I'm at 3rpm it'll shoot all the way to 4rpm then back down to 3.

I took it to a local mechanic and they said that my intake could be warped? I replaced my intake manifold about 7 months ago. I've bever heard of them being warped. I thought maybe it was a vacuum leak?

Any ideas on how much a new intake would cost?

Find the vacuum leak 1st then we work on fixing it....

get a can of cheap brake cleaner and crank the jeep.. Now get under the hood and start spraying around the intake and TB and every hose... Make note of any spots that cause the engine to stumble... Dont just assume you found one spot and thats it.

i get under the jeep 1st before it gets hot and spray the underside of the intake... then move to the top stuff

Never heard of a warped intake... the head will pull it back into shape... unless you installed the intake over a dowel and did not get it lined up correctly
