97 TJ Drivetrain/ WIRING HELP PLEASE!!!

OK....I have a 97 TJ 4.0 I6 MOTOR and TRANNY....and I have a "custom" for lack of a better word, body. The front clip (hood and fenders) are from a 70's model, and the windshield on back (INTERIOR, etc) is from an 86 CJ.

My problem is WIRING. I want to purchase a wiring harness and factory gauges.

I want to purchase the factory dash with factory gauges for the 86 CJ....WHICH WIRING HARNESS WILL I HAVE TO USE? The one for the Drivetrain or the one for the Interior Dash???

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Also, if anyone can tell me how to manually wire up my Headlights, Tail lights and turn signals....GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!

Due to the fuel injection system, I think you will need to run the '97 harnesses, at least for engine management purposes.

As of last year, aftermarket harnesses for the TJ are not available and the dealer charges waaaay too much to be an option. Locating harnesses for a fair price has become kind of difficult. Many junkyards will have them listed in their inventory but will not have it in stock when you call. I have some various harnesses left over from my build and will have to look to see if I have anything for your build. I probably do. Sounds like you will need a PCM too and I can put you on a good source for that.

Additional Info

To give more detail.....all I have WIRED right now is a push button igniton button, a kill switch, and the windshield wipers. All I want, in addition to these, is the speedo, tach, temp, oil pressure, volts, and fuel gauges...
