97 4cyl Manual Transmission Banging, slipping...
My buddy's 97 4cyl manual transmission has something really wrong with it and he asked me to ask you guys...
I took it for a drive today and here's what i observed: First gear seems good at start. When it is in the neutral position while moving it makes a loud whining sound. Then when you put it into any gear and not hit the gas it makes a loud banging/grinding sound the sound goes away when the clutch is pushed in. You always have to be giving it gas for it to not make the sound It has a 3" suspension lift on 33's and has t-case spacers if this matters at all. Any idea what this is? any help would be greatly appreciated. -Bono426
