'93 hard top to 2000 TJ?

Looking at a 2000 Wrangler, but want a hard top. I know someone with a '93 with a hardtop. Will it fit without modification? If needs a mod, what and how hard is it?

Thanks!

No. It will not fit and would require quite a bit of work to make it work. Are you good with fiberglass work?

No fiberglass work required. You have to cut/sand the front edge. There are several threads how to do it. Just google yj, tj hardtop

Thanks

Actually just got my Jeep and it's a 2001. I believe a hard top from 1997 to 2006 will fit, so looking.

Older model will work just requires trimming the front edge.

Thanks for the help! I have lots of little ideas in mind and this forum seems to be a goldmine for ideas. If there ever was a vehicle that makes personal modifications easier, the Jeep has to be it.
