Only issue is my Jeep is over an hour form the shop and cant run it back and forth so i was looking for closest pinion angle to tak everything up at and then bolt it in and drive on the front DS back to the shop to weld it solid..
If you are running 4.5" springs and 2" spacers, then you should definitly set it up around 15*. With that kind of height, you will have a hard time adjusting the pinion without problems if its set up too low.

......did you say tak everything up, bolt it in and drive on the front drive shaft before you weld it solid .....please don't drive your Jeep on a rear axle with tak welds on the brackets!

I'd set the pinion angle at around 17-19 degrees with a standard SYE, and even then, that's probably not going to be enough. That's a lot of freakin lift.

Id say even higher then that, maybe 20-25 degrees, dont be in a rush to get it done. If you can wait until he has space to work on it. You can set it up and weld everything in about 8 hours or so, if your miticulous like chris (greenjip) was and test fit it 3-4 times... lol I swear it fits better then the d35 does.

Thanks for the compliment, I owe alot of credit to mjstranz for welding this thing up and TimBrown for helping with the final instal. Its very streetable. I am planning a trip 3/15 to test it out for the first time. I will post pics if I manage to snap any. Good luck with your project.

Mostly in East and Middle Tennessee. Wheelin in the Country, Wooly's, Wind Rock and a creek in Cookeville. If I name the creek, I might get banned. Stranz has been to a few other trails that I'd like to get to in the future. If I could trailer my Jeep, I would like to go to Gray Rock in AL or Tellico near Knoxville.

20", its in post #49. Your set up may be different though, depending on lift and other things.

Thats the one! Its a fun place to burn a few hours if your close. I used to go to school at TTU, sometimes after class I would drive out there to get away from the headache of school.

Wooly's was alot of fun this weekend. It was raining hard all the way down and when we got there it rained for about an hour before it let up. The whole place was a mud bath. All the access trails to the main trails were tough. because of the low traction. The LSD in the 8.8 worked well, I don't think I would have gone anywhere without it. Tims Jeep is locked, so he didn't have near as much trouble as I did. I found a little rock Garden to play in, and discovered that when my front driver tire drops, the yoke on the driveshaft hits the engine skid, This is because of the HP D30. I am going to have to cut that away to make room. We also hooked up with some guys in a ZJ. That was a really nice Jeep. I don't have many pics to show, it was one of those you had to be there things, but here are a few. The guy with the grand took some pics, I will get them from him later. My camera man took alot of sideways pics and they are hard to view. Most of the ZJ pics are blury.
