I think you'll be fine. My pinion angle is about 14*, my axle is at 13*, and I set my brackets at 15~16; almost too much.

When I was stock with the RE long arm my springs were arched so bad that they bound up against the shocks sometimes...

After adjusting the track bar, I took the Jeep for a test drive. I am only in front wheel drive, so I dont know what the 4.10's feel like with the 35's yet. The Jeep drove great and it felt solid on the road. No rattles or squeeks. Some will argue this, but I can tell the difference with the rear disc brakes. I stopped a lot faster than before.

I didn't get as much rake as I thought with the larger rear diameter tubes. I was going to put 1" pucks in the front, but I don't think I need them. I will post pics of the stance when I get a chance in the day time.

I drove the Jeep this week with the rear drive shaft in. I am running 2400 rpm's at 75 mph. Thats way better than I was getting with the 3.73's. I may gear deeper in the future, but for now I am going to enjoy the 4.10 gears.

Heres a picture of the side view. The rake is noticable, but its not so bad that I think I need to correct it. I'll take your opinion on which you think looks better.

I also wanted to take pictures of the shock and driveshaft clearance with the new muffler. I chose to get a smaller stock muffler and resuse the stock tail pipe. Besides, I was getting tired of the racket my flowmaster was making. I guess I'm getting old. BTW, I got excited when I realized the muffler was made in the USA.

Finally, I took some pictures of the rear driveline. I only have $130 invested in the rear drive shaft.

I will touch up the undercarriage with some flat black before I scrape it all back up on the trails .

Ha ha, yeah, I just hope those bugger welds hold up and don't leak. I'm glad its under the Jeep and not visible from every angle! Tim and I made like five attempts before we were happy with the pinion angle. Thanks for noticing.

If at all possible do it under the jeep, its extremely difficult to do this without the jeep to work with... Ive done a few swaps both with and without the truck, and the ones without always have problems. 15 is a good starting point but the little info you give isnt helping.

If I had it to do all over again, I would have set up my pinion closer to 15*.

However, I set the pinion up to the stock pinion which was 10*. When I get everything installed I ended up adjusting it to 14.5*. I do not have any problems other than the springs are arched a little. Also, I have an adjustable rear track bar which helped. As Chris_ reminded me, my set up is no different than someone who adjusted their stock Danna 44.

Keep in mind there are several factors that will affect what your rear pinion will ultimatly need to be. For example, I am running a 4" suspension lift, 1" motor mount lift, super short SYE and my skid plate is factory with no transfer case drop kit. You should take these into acount when you set yours up. Also, your required driveshaft length may vary depending on these things.

Good luck setting yours up, I hope my write up will be helpfull to you. There are also many topics on this on the internet, just do a goodle search and search the forums.

why not just drive up to the shop with your d35 in, have them weld everything up and then you can switch out the axles wherever you want. The axle will fit in a TJ

35 is at the shop so they can measure all the brackets and get them in the right spots..There was no room for my jeep at my friends shop or it would be there..
