So 4 ftlb more than 200 of stock at 1500 rpm, is that even noticiable?

so instead of the resistor trick on the same line.. move the sensor itself.. seems like a more involved method of the simple resistor mod. and to have that much 0-whatever info he's probably testing this out all on a gTech or similar device.. no dyno sheet no hp/tq is my motto. cause if it truely put down legit gains someone would find a way to market this mod by now and make a zillion bucks off it!

They do make a kit to do this on Camaros and mustangs. I made my own for my camaro but it isn't hard at all.

i mean one that isnt an obvious radio shack hack job. when you start tricking the comps your just askin for trouble. for 7hp on a jeep? kinda worthless don't you think?
my buddy bought one on ebay like a moron for 30$ for his POS honda. i told him for 1.40$ we could just make it ourself but nobody listens... so after it does nothing we open it up and low and behold.. it's about 1.40$ in parts from radioshack...

Yes I meant a kit that you can buy through SLP, Jegs, Summit and such. It boils down to exacly what you said, its a connector for the sensor with extended wires. La De F-ing Da. I saved myself the disapointment and $30 and made my own. If you really beleive its worth 7hp, go for it. If it wasn't worth it in the end your only out $1.50.

This idea is really sketchy without dyno sheets of controlled back to back pulls including datalogging of a/f and advance. Who knows what this does to the fuel mix and timing. You'd be far better off in my opinion to buy a programmer and have a decent tuner dial you in a little leaner and advance the timing some. This way the computer can still adjust the tables properly and you can be sure that you will never be too lean and that timing is never through the roof.
For those of you that have already done this, has it thrown any codes back at you and have any of you actually measured a/f ratio and/or timing afterwards?

put the intake manifold in a heat shield. and if the opportunity presents itself, wrap the exhaust manifold in some kind of heat shield material. heat problem solved, and the computer isn't being "tricked".
i tried the resistor trick a couple years ago...my mileage dropped by 3mpg (15-12), so i took the resistor out at the gas station. the next tank i was back up to 15. and i didn't notice any "by the the seat of your pants" power increase.
the same guy has the heat shield write-up too

All these mods do is trick the computer into running leaner, therefore picking up maybe a few hp due to the unsafe lean condition. IMO, this is unsafe for the engine and i would never perform a mod like this to my own jeep.
