Now go to a dealership and take out a challanger SRT-8 for a ride

The sales dude had me push it through a corner that should be 20 mph at 60mph. It was very planted. As for the power. There is enough to take off in third (I put it in 3rd instead of first).

Don't worry, it was a private access drive.

I did exactly that a while back...Only thing I could think was how much fun this motor would be in the jeep!! I'm watching this one closely. NICE WORK!!

thanks for all the continued support.. still in a holding pattern.. waiting on parts.

the oil pan swap... the SRT8 motors are usually found mated to the mercedes NAG1 trannys. they have a cast aluminum oil pan that has an intergrated structural trans cover molded into it for the NAG1. the 'lower half bolt pattern from the NAG1 is different than the 545rfe. the top half is the same [5.7 or 6.1] as they are the same block. so to mate the 545rfe to the 6.1, you have to turn the bottom of the 6.1 into a 5.7. [oil pan, dust plate, structural dust cover and starter] and use a 5.7 flex plate too.

talked with TNT, they are waiting on the front stretch arms......

thanks for the info on the axles. thats about the width i was thinking [66/65] and running walker evans 17x9.5 wheels, 5"BS with more than likely, 40" maxxis creepys- non stickys.

ive called a few more JY around for pricing on 350 d60 pull outs, then axle shops for the cut-downs and honeslty im just about to call dynatrac and pull the trigger on the bare housings with ball joint knuckles. that should put them here towards the ends of may.

when they show, ill put my current stuff for sale.
REAR solid axle rear HP dana 60 with ARB, 4.88s chromo shafts and wilwood brakes
FRONT stock rubicon housing with ARB 4.88s chromo shafts, super UJ, AVE slider, riddler cover, custom rock dog steering, stock brakes. i have a TNT truss that i havent installed yet for it and HD lower link tabs.

ok 5.13s or 5.38s???

for those who were asking.... prior to the 6.1 madness..
2006 rubicon unlimited [LJ] with 7500 miles
superlift 6" rock runner LA kit-FOR SALE
front 14 Fox coil overs with a poly performance coil kit
front and rear currie anti-rocks
stock 4.0 with a mated 42rle tranny 7500 miles-FOR SALE
EDGE programmer and throttle body-FOR SALE
kilby dual battery tray-FOR SALE
volant cold air box and snorkel-i have just the air box available. i had to cut up the crossover intake to clear the coil over set up.
36.5 iroks on 15x10 pro comp wheels
spydertax 1.25" wheel spacers
genright weld-in add on cage with rock hard [behind the dash] floor/cage tie-ins
removable seatbelt/crossbar
custom windshield tube guard mounted to genright windshield guards
nemesis upper switch panel
hanson rear bumper with in-house tire carrier and custom stinger [psc center section]
psc corner guards
fab fours front bumper with in-house front stinger and radiator guard, warn 8000
nemesis in cab winch control
piaa 820s on the windshield
ipf h4 headlights with nemesis h4 conversion harness
ipf 6" on the front bumper
6" wide factory style fender flares
shrockworks sliders
i blew up the stock 44 at the badlands and got the dana60, sold the 44 to my buddy
rokmen gas tank skid

when i get my 40s, my buddy wants my 36.5s so we will have his tires and wheels for sale: a set of [5] 90% super swamper TSLs 35/12.50/15 on 15x10 pro comp 1079s.

i was debating on doing a 318 or a 360 vs the basic 5.7 hemi when i started this madness. i did the math over and over and figured by the time i went through anyone of those motors [heads, bearings, exhaust, cam, intake etc] to get it to perform like i would want it too.....i would be in the red just as much as i am now.

Nice.

Are you selling both axles? Your front 44 and the rear HP60?

what state do you work for? see the unmarked cop cars in the back. by the way great for the hemi swap. I'm surprised Jeep hasn't put one in as on option for the new JK rubicons.

Many shops around here that are not state-owned do service on the police vehicles.

And if you're working on a cop car, you always have to check the lights and sirens.

by day i operate a shop that builds police cars and emergency response vehicles called code 5 emergency. a few nights out of the week, my dog and i go play cops in a urban city, basically a mini detroit just outside detroit. also i operate nemesis performance, check the link in my sig.

you always have to check the lights and sirens

go be a doctor or a lawyer... youll have more money to play with your jeep!!!!!
