Sorry to hear the marriage did not last very long. Glad to hear you're getting "you" back. Nothing worse than losing who you are to a terrible relationship.

I remember when this thread started, keep it up, you'll get there, and good luck with the new job!

Looking for: 03-06 interior plastic trim. PM me.

I thoroughly enjoyed the wild ride...werent you building a jeep or 2 during your adventure? This was more of a soap opera than a build thread.

Yeah, bummer about the marriage, and I too enjoyed your LJ build.

Oh, and I'm glad to hear that you kept the toys in your name. Nice!

hey arent most jeep builds soap operas...

ok so im frickin bored... anyways my divorce is final tomorrow morning. shes signed off and supposedly tomorrow is a rubber stamp thing. thats good cause her sister called me the other day to tell me my ex is dinking some new guy... she wanted to make sure i knew and to tell me if i needed it [as ammunition] for the precedings... lol

like i mentioned before, wanting a JK, i think as my divorce gift to me im going to get one. with diesel up to 4+ a gallon, driving that on a daily isnt practical. i almost have it paid off so im keeping it! theres a JK i have my eye on now. on the way back from the courthouse, might just stop and pawn the rings... for a down payment

updates: they meeting went really well on saturday, discussed needs and wants on both sides, threw numbers around, being a business owner really helped in the talk. ill be getting 4 bays in the shop and a corner office. it is my personal goal to go from a division manager to overseeing all the upfitting and outfitting the company does. cant wait. he told me some really interesting stuff about jeep/chrysler etc and i want to tell you all but i cant for a few weeks. its pretty interesting and falls in line with somethings ive read on the forum. yeah, im going to jump on this ride and hold tight.

still looking for a HEMI set up for the new to me 2000 TJ i grabbed last week. got close but it was a bust. hoping to get one this week. my goal is to have it in the 00 by the first of the year. this TJ is getting done at my friends garage. my LJ isnt coming out until i have a new house and garage. i dont want to be on a 'time limit' to get it done and rush anything.

thanks for all the support. again its nice to be back. i sit here thinking of the time i will be able to light my LJ up and come show you all how its done...lol and then hopefully i can get one of you to flip me over

in my parusing of threads.. picture threads as of late. i have re-enforced that i have always like the appearance of the jeep. meaning i like the traditional look of the stock flares full body panels and fenders. when matched with the right susp and tire combo, they are just awesome. for my rubi i dont want to comp cut nor make it look like a total rock buggy. it will be slightly more challenging to accomplish this but that is what it is about. stuffin a 6.1 hemi and 40s on an LJ and still looking like a jeep, not a rock god. yes a rock god in jeep clothing..i know right! so for now my plan is to find some oversize stock flares again for it and take the alum armor off to have it painted white to disappear into the body. the sliders/stingers are staying black. ill trim out the flares of course, i just cant commit to tube fenders. hmmm have to give yourself a goal, once i rip the flares off, then i justify tubes LOL. oh *****! just got an idea. im definately going to run stock style flares. yessir i know what im doing now. necessity is the mother of all invention!!

GB... its really close in all honesty.. hydro steering lines, brake lines, drive shafts, exhaust, finish shifting the fuel tank back and some wiring....

I cant allow myself to work on it right now cause I feel guilty about not working on a paying/money making job. I also have a lot of other 'things' tied to the rubi that I/we have have experienced over the years and I am working through that stuff. weird isn't it. I think so but its true. especially when you walk over to work on it and youre staring at a bullet hole in the windshield and you know that could have been you if you were working on it in the garage that night. obviously it wasn't but still messes with you just alittle bit LOL

I will say though.. driving the patriot tj with the eagle hemi, kinda starts pushing all that bullsh!t out the window. that's one fun jeep to drive.

Are you going with aev high line? That is as stock looking as you can get without running stock front fenders.

Its not weird at all to look at the rig and know how close you were to something so bad . For a lack of a better description ,it took a bullet for you. I would think that driving it again would be the ultimate vindication , but its something your going to have to come to terms with when your ready .
