5.3L Vortec and 4L60E swap!!

Hey All,
I just got a 5.3 and 4l60e from a 2005 silvarado and am putting it in my 97 tj...( 4.0L and ax-15 FOR SALE!!!) I just bought all the adapters from Novak and will be starting the swap next weekend.. I was wondering how you guys that have done v8 swaps in tjs have ran your exhaust and also what shifter you have used and how you mounted it for you auto guys. PICTURES PLEASE!!!!
also is there anything i should watch for
I have had a few guys tell me to keep the jeeps pcm and tap the jeep oil press and cts into the 5.3 to keep the gauge cluster...others have said just take the jeep pcm out completly....thoughts??

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

A for your project. Take a lot of pics during the swap when you get to it.

I would really like to know about the exhaust too...its the only thing i need

I'm putting in new gauges, seems easier. As for the shifter you can pick up a lokar shifter on e-bay that will work.

Oh, get a sye if you don't have one

If i get to swappin soon ill give you tips as i come across them

i ran true duals, If I was doing it over I would try to fit the small spun cats up front on 2 1/2 pipe then bring them together before the belly pan into a 3" the rest of the way back. I think SLT has pics in his thread for the 6.0 hemi

I don't know if this applies in this application but, in some cases, swapping the exhaust manifolds so they exit forward allows better options for routing the exhaust.

in a world without smog regulations this is correct, but at least in my case a shop could get fined $10,000 for touching it if it is deemed not correct. I had to build my own because noone would risk the fine
