I've been daily driving the jeep now for about a month. Wow, its really come a long way.

Replaced the entire steering system with a currie system.

Replaced the upper and lower front control arms with bad *** Rokmon arms.

Replaced the track bar with a rockKrawler bomb-proof setup for 5-7" lifts

Had an all new exhaust system built at a shop. True duel setup using two flowmaster 1-chamber mufflers. No cats, no BS.

I changed out all the gas.

Got all the air out of the lines and it brakes pretty good for stock brakes with steel wheels and 35" tires.

Installed all new shocks front and rear. The old ones had surface rust that ruined the seals on them. New shocks are blistein 5100 all around.

New harmonic balencer (my old one, I had a real hard time seeing the timing marks on ). Timing set at 12 degrees.

Prob some stuff I'm forgetting but I have been daily driving it ( also been replacing wheel bearings on my G35 coupe ) and it has been great !! With the 35" tires 4:56 gears would be better, but at least I save on gas on the highway. Also.... 2 different times now, I've pulled the front left tire off the ground, lol. So even without 4:56 gears, the 4:10's are not bad at all.

This jeep has never drive so great. Like all my friends predicted, its gonna be hard to let go...

Accidental while driving. The engine is just freshly rebuilt. I bought it from a guy who was going to put it his rat rod. But managed to get a nice 347 roller motor for it and sold this engine. Well I got it all in but had a leak at the dipstick tube. Put a new tube in that fit better and glued it in place and bolted it down. Went to drive it after the glue set and after I got back I bound out the dipstick was extremely bent. So I shortened it up. Made sure it still read oil level. Drove it one more time and found that the dipstick hits the crank. So I pulled out the dipstick and left the tube in. Drove it and found out that the engine has a crap load of blow by. But I'm not sure if It's from the engine needing to break in or it something else. But it builds enough pressure and has enough fuel in the oil that it blows it up the dipstick tube and sprayed it on the hood and other hoses. Well that dripped on to the headers and was flaming up really bad after the oil dripped and then a chain reaction and the flames were crawling up the side of the engine. So today I made a make shift Pcv system only took 1.25 hours and $30. It works pretty good.

My wife drove it to work the other day and got the oil changed and had them clean it for me.

I guess it was a pretty big hit at the local Ford dealership, lol

You'll never guess what happened. Today I went to fix an exhaust leak. The header bolts loosened up slightly and burned the gasket. So I managed to sneak the old one out clean up the area and sneak he new one in without removing the header from the rest of the exhaust. I got it all in and got the bolts started then went to grab some lunch. After that I tightened up the bolts and then went over them again to re tighten them for the crush of the gasket. Then went to fire it up. Well the gremlins came out when I was at lunch and tinkered with the engine. I fired it up and right off the bat there was an insanely loud ticking noise. So I checked the gasket and it was ok. So I spent 3 hours looking listening checking things pulling valve covers and the header and spark plugs so I can look in the cylinders and at the back of the exhaust valves thinking something is in there and it shouldn't be. But I didn't see anything. So I did a compression test and my #1 compression reading went up about 35 psi from when I checked it after I did the spark plugs about a week ago but the rest stayed the same. Which confused me because there isn't anything in the cylinder. It's dry no oil no fuel. So I check valve lash and everything seems ok. So I fire it up with out the header or valve covers on. Spit a little oil. But I still had the tick. So I shut it down and check the rocker arms and lifters. Thinking it has to be one of them. It's that kind of tick. I have good oil pressure. So I check and the #1 intake lifter doesn't hold any pressure. So tomorrow I get to take the whole top half of the motor off to get replace the stupid thing.
