i found mine on the cheap and if your motor is still good you can sell it and recover some of your swap expense. should be able to pull this off for about $1400

Anything you want to know about the Ford EEC-IV system:

http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/

If you don't mind spending the money, they sell a harness that is MUCH easier to use than adapting the stock Ford harness. Additionally, it already has the EGR and smog related delete items built in.

not to put that harness down as it is a great harness but cost is what comes into play as the 92-93 mustang ford harness are cake to adapt. The egr delete is detail on fordfuelinjection.com i would still recommend the 92-93 mustang harness as most people are trying to do this as a real world swap which means a limited budget and not dropping bucks here there and everywhere

If the budget is tight and/or you really enjoy modifying and tinkering the original, then this harness is not for you. However, if the funds are there, you want a much simpler install and you don't want to mess with chafed wires, open circuits and shorts in a 16+ year old harness, then the aftermarket harness is tough to beat. Especially in a Jeep where you can find yourself out in the middle of nowhere, a trouble-free system is invaluable. That is NOT to say that the FoMoCo stock harness can't be adapted reliably (I know people who have), but it does take a lot more care in the install.

The harness you bought six years ago is different than this one. The picture in that link looks like Ford has repackaged the fordfuelinjection.com harness. The original Ford harness had two large connectors (referred to as "salt and pepper shakers" because one was black and the other white, which were problematic). If you look on fordfuelinjection.com, they show the other different harnesses available.

BTW, I got my harness off of Ebay for less than $500. Works great.

the harness ford used to sell with the black and white connectors is exactly what the 92-93 mustang harness is. the ford motorsports instructions is what i use to modify it as all the connectors are identical that u modify on the ford racing harness.

Just the chevy disc as the input shaft of the tranny is a chevy size 1 1/16" where ford is 1 1/8". you still use the ford pressure plate throwout beraing just a chevy disc in the center to go on the input shaft
