the machine work involved would be massive as the inside of it is all the bearing surfaces cut in it with oil galleys and everything. it is not just flat on boith sides the inside supports the shafts and everything. what pictures do you want i can post more just tell me what you want

Yea, after showing him the pics of the plate and what's invovled, we desided that its well worth the $209.

Good pics. That's an odd looking motor mount, almost like you made the stock stuff all work together ( ford and jeep stock stuff ).

I just wanted some more general pics like you posted.

I'm going to need a snorkel, so I've been thinking about that stuff too ( water proofing ). The last night I drove my jeep, I was "balls deep", while sitting in the seat.

Ole yea, and I wanted to look at your serp. belt. The old man I work with just put a 95' cobra back together with parts from 83-95 mustangs. He went through a ton of trouble with the local parts store just to find the right SN95 normal belt, only to find that his smog pump is raising hell. Hahaha. I told him I wasn't going to run one at all, and he said I need an "eliminator pulley" and I was like, " no you don't, you just need to take the smog pump off and use the right belt. You already sent me the part#s for the belt...

those mounts are from a 70's ford 4x4 truck trimmed down with 78-79 motor mounts on the motor. they cost me 15 bucks

im at school now, but when i get home ill start the teardown on my '88 boss 302 EFI. looking to push as much torque out of it as possible before having to replace the t-case and axels, but would love to see more info on this swap especially the motor mount brackets. great info on wiring btw

i mayhave a 4-speed ford tranny(not sure which one probably c4) that i can buy off a buddy of mine so it would be a direct bolt on, but will it work with the NV231. and what is the torque rating of the NV231 and NV3550 tranny and of course the d30 and d35 as general questions

nv3550 is suppposed to be pretty stout and the 231 can be uprgaded or find a rubicon t case. my dana 35 held up on hte street so far and i have not been easy on it but it only has 31's. i upgraded to dana 44 rubicon axles to eliminate the weak link

no offense but there is alot of cobbled wiring and stuff hanging from zip ties. i would clean taht crap up, its going to make fixing anything when it does break a real pain.
