4wd problem??

hi everyone, I have a 2000 sahara and after doing some minor offroading yesterday the jeep handled like it was still in 4wd after disengaging it. When we reached the top of the hill it put it back in 2wd and heard the t-case click right after we starting moving. After making a few corners though, the jeep felt as though it was still in 4wd but when i tired to spin the tires on the dirt road, only the rear ones would spin. The steering wheel felt like i was getting some wheel hop while taking corners on the way home. This has happened to me before and it magically goes away the next day. This morning on way to work it felt as though it was pretty much back to normal. Any ideas as to what could be happening. Is it possible that 4wd is not fully disengaging.

no lockers, the jeep is completely stock...i tried driving in the reverse when i got home and it felt the same. Didn't notice a difference until this morning on my way to work, it felt normal then. The last time i had this problem i changed the t-case fluid and it solved the problem, and had no issues all winter until now. That fluid was changed maybe 1year ago. This was the first time i had been in 4wd probably since feb. or march, could it have been it just got hung up from lack of use??

no idea, I am no t case expert by any means, i was just regurgitating info I read in the manual.. I'm sure someone with more knowledge of the tcase inner workings will pipe up soon enough.
