4spd Auto shift upgrade

Anyone know of a TSB regarding the 4spd Auto and it's shifting points. Was hoping for a reflash/computer upgrade. Called local dealer and they know nothing......like always....I tell them I have a TJ and they ask me if I have a wrangler!

No TSBs for shift points. TSBs are listed at http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/tsb/tsbsearch.cfm You can order copies though this site as well. I've never been charged, but they take months to respond.

The auto trans on this Jeep is substantially the same as the 4 speed auto on minivans, Sebrings, etc., where it is invisible to the average driver. This trans on the Jeep acts quite a bit differently, however. It seems almost to fight to upshift early. And, once having shifted, it really resists shifting down. I assume that the tranny was recalibrated to maximize gas mileage but it really hampers overall drivability IMHO. Most of my commute is on the interstate and the trans is fine for that. In town, however, it can become annoying.
