4" Suspension - Adding 1" BL, do I need a MML?
I searched a little but could only come up with answers for people running stock suspension...
I have a 4" ProComp (yes I know...) Lift with the transfer case drop installed. I want to add the Performance Accessories 1" BL and am wondering what that will do to the TC Drop? Do I need the MML? If I install it, can I get rid of the TC Drop, will my MX6 shocks be long enough etc... Thanks in advance!

i dont think you'll need a MML when you do the body lift. I went the other way around and did the MML then the body lift. It helped with my vibration i think and my MM's were shot so it was great overall. I got mine from Brown Dog Industries (made in the USA)
To get rid of your tcase drop you'll need a CV drive shaft and a SYE ( slip yoke eliminator) or am pretty sure thats the only way to make the drive line long enough. not cheep but well worth it in the end to get the extra ground clearance. I know people knock the pro comp short arm kits.. but hey i have done the big 3 in Moab with the same short arm kit and beat the snot out of it for couple of year and it let me run 35's when i did my 1" BL so it may not be the best out there but it works.. its better to wheel what you got than be a mall crawler and poke fun at others brands. Cheers Dave

That is my plan to eventually get the 35s, SYE, Super 35 etc... I just figured why get it all at once! I think that I am going to get the BL and see what happens, any idea about the MX6 shock length? And I think that my lift is great! I have had ZERO issues with it (Did upgrade to Stage II and MX6 Shocks) I wheel it as often as I can (Busy student at UF [Go Gators!]) but not many trails in Central Florida, however I do head up north as often as I can. Happy Wheeling! -Travis |

so you are saying do the 1" BL, 1" MML, and keep the T-Case drop? another question... if I went with a SYE and CV + BL what are my options then? Last edited by cx300; 07-02-2009 at 08:38 AM.. |

You might be able to lessen or get rid of the t case drop. All Jeeps are different and you can see when it's all done.Do the BL,MML,remove the t case drop and see if you have any vibes. If you do,you might get away with dropping the skid with just a few washers.
