4"lift with 1"body lift with 33s

if theres a thread about this already post it on here for me, thanks.
now back to what im asking, im getting a skyjacker 4" lift (econmoy) and looking at a 1" body lift, does anyone have pros or cons about anything ive said? and if possible have any pictures on this setup? thanks

If I was to do it again, I would go 3 inch spring/shock lift and 1.25 inch body lift. The words 4 inch lift and budget should/do not go together.

Plus if you call RC they knock 10% off, well they use to for Jeep forum members.
I like RC, and had good experience with their stuff so far.

Skyjacker is one of the lower quality companies, like RC (except their coils). And a 4" lift isn't needed for 33s, let alone adding a body lift. You can get away with a 2" lift and body lift (what I did). A 4" requires much more than you think.

Another advantage to a lower spring lift and body lift is you can get away with a t-case drop to deal with driveline vibes. A 4" spring lift almost always needs the SYE/CV driveshaft conversion to deal with vibes.

Or, a motormount lift could eliminate it completely. It did on mine.

By the time you finish off installing the 4" lift you will have a lot invested especially if you start out with one of the Walmart type of lift kits . By the time you have it finished it right the original kit will be sitting in corner waiting for you to figure out how to unload it . Thats not to mention you can do 33s with a 2-2.5" suspension and a 1.25 BL and be way ahead of the game . It would be a much better way of getting started with quality parts without having to swap out parts for better later as you learn . Search tool is your best friend at this point . 5" lift and 33s looks like it is on stilts not built

Go with a 2" lift and 1 to 1.25" body lift. Be sure and do the motor mount lift at the same time, it will correct for the driveline angle and you won't have to chop up your fan shroud (led to over heating problems on my Jeep) or do a T-case drop.

That'll give you plenty of room for 33's. Did this to my GF's Jeep and I think with flat fenders it could even fit 35's (won't do that though, could cause other problems, ie gears and axles).

If you start getting up to 3 to 4" lifts you start running into other problems. Plenty of companies sell 3" "kits" that don't include everything you need. At that point you're looking at issues with your track bars, sway bar links, possibly steering issues (may need drop pitman arm around 4"), etc.... Check out those kits, a lot of times the companies sell various kits for the same lift with more and more pieces for more money. There's a reason they offer a kit for the same lift with "extra" pieces (ie, you really need those pieces).

i have the exact setup you are asking about. i bought the skyjacker 4 inch economy lift and installed it two years ago, easy install(took me a few days in my driveway to get everything buttoned up) no problems so far. i wheel it moderately and its a daily driver. i just installed a 1.25 inch body lift a few months ago and i run 33 inch tires(savin up to go to 35's.) i have the 1 inch TC drop, no MML, novak cable TC shifter and upper and lower adj rear control arms. this has all worked pretty well for me, but i will be upgrading with sye, MML etc... just waiting for time and funds. hope that helps ya!

Go with the Zone 4.25" combo lift.Here's my brother's Jeep when I installed a 4" SL and 1.25" BL on 33's before he moved to 35's a week later.
