4 driveshaft bolts holding up engine swap

We finally got everything from the drivetrain disconnected, the only thing holding us back are these 4 driveshaft bolts on the axle side. We have been PB blasting them for days, but can turn them. We are worried about snapping/stripping them, so we haven't used a crazy amount of force yet.

Can we use heat on these that close to the joint? Are these prone to snapping? We are hoping to get these off in the morning and the motor swapped over, so we only have to rent the hoist for a day. Any help is appreciated

Why not heat them up and just plan on replacing the spider? (If that's a stupid question, I apologize...)

Screw the $12.00 joint and the $5.00 pinion seal and apply heat. Then clean the threads with a tap and call a day.

Apply heat away from the pinion seal to melt the lock tite. If they do snap (mine have in the past) just use a screw extractor and remove. They are only torqued to 14lbs.

I'm pretty sure Napa sells a new strap kit w/bolts. Probably available at the other parts stores too. So if you snap one, new ones are available.

Yeah I have never had much luck with the extractors, but the only time they are ever used are in worst case scenarios haha. But yeah if they are only 14 lbs, either way they are comin out

I've see the strap kits at advance and autozone in the "help" section.
