Hello there,i am on the market for 4:56 gears i have an 03 TJ with 35" rubber.can u guys have a look at the link posted and tell me if thats what i need. I have higher gearing so i will need different carriers i already know that.
If you buy the gears on your own and give them to the installer to install, what happens if something goes wrong? Is the installer going to cover the gears in his warranty? I would never consider providing the gears to the installer because if something goes wrong, and it happens, the installer will likely blame the gears and the gear seller will definitely blame the installer. You are then stuck in the middle with them pointing fingers at each other.
I would simply ask the installer to discount the cost of his gears closer to what you can buy them for and let him provide everything. That way his warranty will cover everything and not just his labor.
Jerry thats the best answer ive ever gotten on here..you are so right about that, for the $150 im gonna save its not worth the headache if something does go wrong with the gears, thanks for the insight!!
