4" to 5" and Short arms?

Was thinking of using my BB along with the 3"BDS in the garage to eventually run 35's. Is it still OK to run short arms, or should I really be lookikng at an LA kit?

This is a non-daily driver primarily for camping & crawling, with a bit of skiing mixed in (if it ever snows here again.)

Yes, I know I need a new axle (saving for an 8.8 with rear discs)

Thanks.

Without new arms, the Jeep will ride like crap. Stock arms or arms for a 3" lift are too short.

i ran 5 inch spring with RE short arms... it sucked... dont ever do it if u plan on "crawling" over things. The front axle never wanted to go over anything and it road like a heep o crap. LA is where its at

Thanks guys - so that brings up another question then.

With something like the RE 4.5, are the new arms in that kit (or adjustable arms for that matter) longer than the good old stockers?
