3in xj coils in a tj?

my friend has a set of brand new 3in lift coils for a xj, that he decided not to use when doing his lift

will they give me 3in of lift also?

They'll lift the front over 4" on a 2.5L.You need 4 springs so why not buy Rusty's 3" springs for $100 a set.
