38's on a Rubicon

How many of you would trust putting 38's on a rubicon with, let's say 5.13's and a stock motor and auto tranny?

Would the dana 44's hold up to the 38's for daily driving, light trail use and some mud running? Sorry. I just read my first post and didn't realize I didn't even ask what I was trying to.

Perhaps? Why 38's, if I may inquire?

x2 bolts right on. don't even need a lift or anything. you can even stop on a dime and lock up all 4 tires.

Assuming you have the clearance, you'd definitely want to upgrade brakes, steering components, and axles. Otherwise you'll snap the tie-rod and blow the axle yokes trying to steer clear of the truck you almost ran into because you couldn't stop fast enough...

I'd love to see the rig though...

don't forget the ball-joints and C's on a Rubi D44 aren't adequete, the tubes are too thin and too small in diameter.

if you want 38s, get 1-tons.

DD and light trail use, ok with the aforementioned supporting cast of steering, brakes, and axle upgrades. Mud running though--maybe one good run then a loud BANG...

Why stop at 5.13's, I'd go right to 5.38's with the 4-speed auto.

If that's the Jeep, it looks like an RE LA, perhaps even a tri-link rear?
