off topic a bit but in the first pic does the rear of your Jeep sit higher then the front? Is it just the weight of the winch or just the pic?

The pics on GenR site dont do them justice, I would love to see how much protection the rock sliders provide under the body.

2 questions
what lift is causing the rear LCA angles you have?
how heavy was all of that steel?

Well unfortunately I'm not down with all the modern day acronyms so I need to know what LCA is, I'm sure it's simple and I should be able to figure it out but again I have no idea what it is, sorry.
However if this question of LCA refers to the rake from front to back please remember its the camera angle, and the parking lot grade.

The front and back Gen-Right armor is about 40-45 lbs. on each corner. I didn't pick up the sliders so i'm unsure as to their weight. The rear stinger tire carrier is about 50lbs. as well. The steering box skid is about 10lbs. give or take. I believe that Gen-Right has weights listed for each piece on their website.

Right, thanks dirt, see I knew I was an idiot, I'm just to taking a few seconds to write things out, LOL. So Never, as far as I know the angle is fine, again the I think its the angle of the pic but once the front spacers are in and I get it back on Tuesday I will take new pics of the rig on flat ground, hopefully that will end this mystery.

The lift kit is a 6" long arm from RCD, Race Car Designs, I've been quite happy with especially the on highway ride since I pull a lot of miles for work adn thus far it has flexed really well.

Dirt one hour to the new pics

So, today is Saturday and I thought it would be finished by now but as all things go in life, especially with labor and custom work, things never go as planned. Whoever this "Murphy" guy is, I'm no longer his friend.

Either way I decided to jump in the rental car and do another 6 hour drive to the National 4 Wheel Drive shop in Calgary and back home to snap some more pictures of my rig. The side marker cutouts were finished, the parts were almost finished being rattle canned so while everything was off the rig, here is where we currently stand.

Tuesday will be "Go Time" for the final product and I will then post the final results, and yes that will include the pictures with less rake, hopefully, LOL

Important note and honourable mention goes out to Gunkel here on JF for the side marker idea. Check out his threads and gallery it is time well spent.

So for those wondering how much of the stock fender well gets cut out to fit the front Gen-Right tube fenders, Spyder I believe it was yor request, here is the mock up picture followed by the inner fender well cut

As you can see there isn't much fender left, but note that nothing, and I mean nothing, under the hood had to be moved on either side.

Why can't I just drive the highways of Alberta like this, LOL, "Fender flares! I don't need no stinkin' fender flares!!!"

My bad on an earlier post, they did have to eventually drop the gas tank to bolt up the Gen-Right rear cross-member brace for the rear tire carrier.

So on to the other parts and some paint. I had no desire to powdercoat at the moment, well actually I did want to, but for practical reasons and due to my early 09' plans for the axles and a stretch, primer and paint work for now. The paint is still fresh in a lot of these pictures, so they look a little odd, just so you know. The front passenger side tube fender was mounted when I took the pictures and as you will see, beyond the lack of gloss, the paint match is much better than I thought it would be.

Here you can see one of the rear full corners and the 6" flare

And here is the the front driver side tube fender, this shot taken from the inside

Front driver side tube fender again, this time from the outside, look close and ya sneak a peak at the side marker locations.

Finally this is the passenger side front tube fender, mounted, this shot taken down the long axis from the rear, with rock sliders off. As I said, beyond the gloss, the paint match is decent

This shot isn't to clear, hard with low light in my house, but more importantly, note though that my Gen-Right steering box skid is being guarded by two vigilant, yet empty cans of Molson Canadian.

This shot from the outside:

This shot from the inside:

Gen-Right ships their steering box skid powdercoated, which I appreciate and more importantly, its a complete box, there are no open sides. Its a simple bolt up piece and requires the drilling of only one hole.

The rear bracket brace from Gen-Right is a nice little trick to clean up the back end of the Jeep and add more strength and support. This is also where the two lower bushing mounts connect to the frame to support the rear tire carrier stinger. One of the great features from Gen-Right on this piece is the fact that they have punched enough holes to secure these bushings depending on the amount of body lift you might have installed on your rig. If I remember correctly it works for up to 1.25" of body lift. I'll take a better picture of these adjustment holes once its mounted back on the Jeep cause its hard to see with the wet paint.

That center shackle you see on the rear brace in the above pictures is welded on by Gen-Right, it is a nice, wide and thick shackle which will definitely come in handy. I like the idea that it is permanent, here is a pic from my previous post of the shackle prior to painting.

Now for my rear stinger, hehe, not many people like this piece, I hear lots of differing opinions on it. But, at the end of the day, I like it lots so that's why she's on there. When it was just raw steel, I wasn't so thrilled with it, but now that's painted it sort of melts into things.

That's one of the rear corners in the background

In the next picture you can see the two bolts that were welded on the unit by the shop guys to hold my hi-lift jack, it will sit at the very bottom on the inside and this should still leave me enough room for when I make the jump to 40's next year.

Thought I'd throw this in, since the evap canister seems to be a mystery as to its location for lots of people, well, there it is tucked under the rear passenger side corner.

Since we ripped off the liner from under the rear corners as you can tell in the last picture, I'm having the guys just do some rhino or herculiner for some preotection, the evap canister will most likely just get coveres with some sheet metal or liner, I'm not to worried about it ayways, cause it will be moving next winter anyways.

The top bushings on the rear stinger tire carrier are supported from the inside of the tub by these on either side:

They mold around the rear of the roll bar bases and slip under the rear seatbelt buckle plastic boxes.

More to come, I gotta have some dinner LOL

So as I said check out Gunkel's threads and gallery for the sidemarkers because that's where I got the idea.

I wanted a different look for the front end lights. I've seen some excellent ideas and cool layouts on here and on other sites and rigs, but I really like the LED look and wanted something small, I guess stealth is the word, that would melt into the tube fenders.

So here they are on the front passenger side tube fender:

The electrical isn't done, which is obvious, so I can only show you some shots once my Jeep is complete on Tuesday. These are 10mm bolt LED's, they come in an assortment of colors, the full spectrum actually, but I chose the amber colored LED's to stick with the principle behind side markers.
