I agree, the gap is a little silly. makes it look sloppy, they could at least have done a flat cut along the top line or a slow upward angled taper to smooth it into the the upper corners. They look rather silly like that, especially if ya didn't have a perfect paint match.

well chock those up into a growing category of good ideas that will NEVER end up on my rig.

yes i'm talking about the gap the one you said it will probably-surely will pure water into unless sealed with something.i really think,if mines come like that, that it is a big let down as far as gen-right goes.but i'm really-really interested to know what they'll say when they see the photos,so please try and get in contact with them!!the need in my case is that i removed my lightbar and there is a hole in my windshield for the wires to go in the jeep.you can see here the exact same hole in oman jeep's http://www.oman4x4.com/gallery/kcdetail/lightwire

Just kind of skimmed/read through most of your thread... First off let me say it looks like you do some good work and have great attention for detail. Congrads on that!

Not to bash you, but when do you have sooo much lift? Running those fenders now there really shouldn't be a need for all the lift. On your wheeling trip you said it felt like it was going to tip over, if you loose the coils and maybe another inch (swap your coils) it should be alot more stable and still perform great off road.

Thanks mferrari, and don't worry I don't take it as a bash at all, this site is for opinions and this is how we learn and improve.
I should be more clear on that note. It was just a question of getting use to the new weight of the corners, etc. I truly enjoy the the 6" lift and wouldn't change it for the world. I think its a perfect height for me. I say this with all respect to the LCG builds on this site and agree that most vehicles, with 4" of lift and even less tend to make it through all the same obstacles. The driver will always be more important than the lift and vehicle.

The ride on my rig is excellent, whether offroad or on the highway and truly enjoy the comfort and stability factor of the RCD lift combined with the Bilstein shocks. Sorry if I was unclear about that. You are right however, had I gotten the fenders and corners first, I might not have gotten that much lift. But I remember how horrible my stock suspension was, don't know why it was so bad, it just was, so that's why I got that done first. Plus my dad had always taught me to take care of the essentials first, drivetrain and suspension, steering, then worry about the pretty cosmetic stuff. LOL, should have remembered that and done the axle/diff swap first.

As far as the gaps for the Gen-right armor windshield armor, don't really know what I can do my friend. Its not like I live anywhere near their facility and have never dealt with them personally, I let my 4x4 shop do all the ordering and install. I just imagine what I want the finished product to be and do my research of how to get there. Then they take over and make it happen the way I want it. If Gen-Right has not responded to your emails, which Im sure is due to the overwhelming amount they receive. I suggest you give them a call until you get a hold of them. Good luck.

God bless winter, everything always looks so much better at minus 30 celsius(that's -23F for everyone south of Canada) and covered in snow.

what a shame the 4x4 portion don't work.

What I was thinking about was this one from Kilby, or its twin from Currie Enterprises.

I like the flat look and the dual shackle mounts as opposed to tow hooks. Plus it offers full coverage up to the grill. It also works well with ORO's Swayloc assembly which I plan on getting next year. Plus there should be no issues with my Gen-Right Steering box skid bolting up to it.

have look at the Bumpers here http://www.rokmen.com/products/diy_fabrication_parts/diy_fabrication_parts.html

Thanks again, I've really been contemplating the Kilby 42" front bumper of late, I think that would work well, Im not a fan of having a hoop in the front for some reason (says the guy with the rear stinger)

not as much as the back. There's about an 1.5" I believe. Clearly due to the spacers that I have on all four corners. Tends to throw a lot of muck and makes winter driving and trying to see out the windows difficult, especially at night

I just wish that the rear tire carrier opened to the side as well as folded down, it would make life a little simpler at times.

It would be an easy enough mod to do on this model, but I would hope Gen-Right eventually offers one.
