33 Engineering TT without SYE?
I'm going to be getting the Skid Row engine skid soon. The problem is that my stock TC skid is bent pretty well under the passenger side (far enough that I'll have to cut it to get the front most bolt off). I plan to get the 33 Engineering TT eventually but if I can do it without the SYE, I'd like to do it with the engine skid since it will make the install much easier and give me much needed ground clearance. I do have the BL and MML already so that's one thing out of the way. But can I do the TT without the SYE or possibly space the TT down a little to adjust the rear drive shaft angle?

If you don't have any suspension lift you should be able to get away without the SYE.

I talked with them a while back. It is going to depend on your Jeep. Just like some Jeeps don't have a problem with a BB or 3" lift causing vibrations you may be able to install the skid with no problems. If you do have a problem just space the skid down.

Well yes im sure it can but isnt that like putting on a lift and ground effects at the same time. Just wait till you have the money to do it right. More than likely you will need the SYE. |

You have a chance if you are not running a lift and purchase their lowered transmission mount also. I wanted to do the same with a 2" lift but could not get a definitive answer so I did the whole thing at once. If you are willing to take the chance and it does not work out you could throw more money at it then. You will be raising the transfer case several inches. Also their website has several tables explaining shimming the skid down and how much clearance you can expect.
