33 Engineering Belly Up with NO BL and no spacers

Has anyone installed the 33 engineering center skid without a body lift OR the skid spacer?

I want maximal clearance increase/flat belly, I like the weight savings with the aluminum 33 skid, but do not want a body lift either.

The other option is the Nth Tummy Tuck, with no BL, but I really prefer the lower weight of the aluminum 33 engineering product.

(I know the Nth and others make great skids, but I don't hit many rocks; it's mainly improved clearance on deeply rutted forest roads, occassional obstacles, etc. This is definitely a on and off road vehicle, not simply a rock crawler.)

I'm wondering if just doing the Nth 'BFH dimple mod' will be enough, in conjunction with the 33 Eng transmission mount, to avoid either skid spacers or BL.

Has anyone done this, successfully?

Wondering my self. I do have the 33 skid with the BL though.

I will say it was not that big of a deal for me. I wanted the BL for the tank skid any way.

My friend has that setup on his Jeep.

To do it, he did have to dimple the tub. Once he got it all in there, things worked fine on the road. When he went off road, he had driveline issues -vibrations and binding due to the pinion angle.

He had about a 3" lift and 33s on it. If he would have changed the rear upper control arms and switched to a Double Cardan rear drive shaft, it would have been perfect.

With little $$ laying around for new arms and a drive shaft, he but the BL back on..

OK - so I was "sleep posting" It was not a BL my friend had trouble with, it was T-case drop that he was running with the 33 eng combo... The T-case drop removal caused the vibes. A BL would not make a vibe difference - just a claearance difference with regard to need for dimpling the tub.

I solemly swear to NOT post after 10:00PM anymore
