31" Tire on stock tire mount rubber stop question?

Hey guys,
I just put on my new 31" tires today (way cooler than the stockers I had on there). The problem I have now is that the rubber stops on the tailgate, that use to butt up against the stock tire don't touch the tire anymore. What have you guys done to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance!

Won't taking them off cause the tire to vibrate more and damage the tailgate?

Actually mine no longer touch the tire! They are almost an inch shy.

My tire doesn't touch the tire stops either. I don't think it is causing any more vibration on the tailgate. It has three lugnuts on it and seems pretty tight.
