30's or 31 BFG's with 4.75" bs

Gang,
I ordered new wheels for my 99 TJ 2.5L from Summit today. The Cragar Soft 8's in 15x8 with 4.75" backspacing. I was going to just put 30x9.5 BFG AT's on them but now i am wondering if 31x10.50 BFG's will fit with no issues with stock lift. I don't plan to ever go higher and this is a 80% road Jeep and NOT a daily driver.
I currently run 15x8's AR767's with 30x9.50 but the tires are bald and the wheels are old. So want a tighter look (4" vs 4.75" bs) and possibly a bigger tire. Waddya think?

I'd go with the 31s , they will fit with no issue.

I run 31X10.50 with no lift on stock wheels with 5.5" backspacing. 4.75" would push them out a little more, so you would not have any rubbing issues with 31X10.50s. Go for it.

This isnt the Old West, because the New West has never arrived. Its just the West, like Wyatt Earp died yesterday.

Forgot to add, I run 33x10.5 MTs on 5.25 BS Gambler wheels. I didn't rub when I first got my MTs installed. I do run spacers now, but only because it's necessary to clear my ORO SwayLOC passenger arm.

Thanks everyone. 31's it is. Can't wait. It's gonna look great on my Desert Sand TJ with black hardtop. Just repainted the fenders with flat black Krylon this summer. Wondering now if i should bother with changing the speedo gear.

If yours is like mine, the speedo will be more accurate now with the 31" tires. Mine read 4mph slow with 30's.

You may be right! The odometer and speed are off already now that you mention it. Not sure in which direction. I will test it first. Thanks.
