231 Transfer case removal / reinstall

OK so the removal was a piece of cake....NOT..... What a pain getting the top nuts off. Nothing like no room to do anything. So after much effort and a number of carefully placed four letter words the transfer case come out. My questions is how in God's name are you suppose to torque the upper bolts or the lower for that matter to 40-55 ft/lbs. I hardly had room for the smallest box wrench and maybe a 1/4 drive socket. Do I need to get mini me to come over with his small tool set?
Peter

You do it by feel.
The only way to do it with a torque wrench is to remove the powertrain from the vehicle.
