2006 TJ Rear Seat Brackets Turned Around??
Is it possible for the rear seat brackets on a 2006 TJ to be turned around to provide more leg room?
The only reason I ask is that I purchased a rear subwoofer box that was supposed to be designed to fit behind the rear seat and enclose two 10" woofers. The box doesn't fit by about an inch or so. I was looking at another box on ebay that had notched out for the latch and hinge and emailed the seller to see if he could confirm it would fit in an 06. The TJ pictured on ebay seems to have slightly more trunk room than mine and the seller suggested that the only reason the box wouldn't fix is if someone reversed the brackets to "provide more leg room." I bought the jeep brand new in 2006 and I know I haven't reversed the brackets. Is it possible that it came from the factory that reversed? If so, maybe the box I'm prepared to ship back will fit after all if I turn them around. Any help would be appreciated.
