2006 Neutral safety switch question

My switch is bad. I know I can replace it, possibly put a 10 amp fuse in the #28 slot, or possibly run a toggle switch to bypass.

Is there a reason that the two wires running from the connector to the switch just can't be wired together to complete the circuit to bypass the switch? I'm not an electrical type guy.
Thanks,
Bret

Why not just put a fuse in #28? That's what it's there for.

For the record, you have a six speed. You have no neutral safety switch.

Maybe I called it the wrong name. It is the round jobby on the end of the clutch that only allows the jeep to start when the clutch is all the way in. I do have that on my jeep and it is faulty right now. Just checking my options.
Thanks,
Bret
