2003 sahara/rubicon tires

Hello everyone, My question is I have a 2003 Wrangler Sahara .I do not do any off roading but I simply love the look of the "slightly oversize tires" and the Rubicon rims. I`m looking to get 2004 to 2006 Rubicon rims on ebay and preferably 2007 Factory Rubicon tires,if not brand new tires then 2006 tires with low miles on them. Will the rims for 2004 to 2006 be compatible with any year 2004 to 2007 factory tire and will this be able to go on my 2003 Sahara without any special modifications. Secondly has anyone done this?.. I don`t want to modify it in anyays or add a lift so will I still get the Rubicon look by doing this and will it adversely affect the ride?..i love my Sahara and I`m not trying to duplicate the The off road capability of the Rubicon but I simply this aspect of the Rubi and want to add it to My Sahara. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Stick with tires off a late model TJ. The 2007 JK uses 32" tires and if I am not mistaken take a 17" diameter wheel. The Moab wheels (2003-2006 Rubicon wheels) are 16" in diameter.

In other words, your best bet is to find a complete set of Moab wheels and TJ Rubicon tires (MT/R) off a 2003-2006 TJ. They are 31x10.5" tires and they are the biggest tire you should mount on a stock TJ. It will bolt on fine with no problems on your Sahara.

Rocky is right and if you look around you can find the Rubi wheels and tires usually with only a few miles on them.

Ok, thanks for the replies guys..so basically any combination of 2003 to 2006 Moab Rubicon wheels and tires will fit nicely onto a 2003 stock Sahara?..Do you think It will look good based on what I`m looking for? I don`t want it to look funny,just want to get similar subtlely fuller look of the Rubi? Also will it have any negative affect on the ride and feel(highway,street)..Someone at work said if anything it would improve it?..Just curious..Again I appreciate any input..Thanks

Yes, they will fit fine on your Jeep if you take them off a '03-'06 TJ. Go look at a Rubicon, that is EXACTLY how your Jeep will look.

The ride will be the same. The MT/R tires a bit noisier..but nothing too bad. They can get a little slick in wet weather. Don't forget to do a 5 way rotation every 3,000 miles. Keep them at ~30 PSI.
