Great info mauch1 ! The junkyard I went to all of the Cherokees were robbed of that part already and all the Neons had it still! There were NO Wranglers at the boneyard.........

Thank you, thank you! Yet another increadible thread that just saved me a good amount of money! It seems that Jeep discontinued the ignition switch actuator pin for the Wrangler but it is still available on other Chrystler/Dodge models! Only if I could provide the rest of the forum with equally beneficial information rather! I greatly appriciate your help Mauch1 and Spaceball!

spot on

You guys are awesome. I was having the same problem and thought it was my clutch position sensor. So I cut that off and connected the two wire (bypass that sh*t). Still wasn't starting, then I hopped on the ole jeep forum found this post and viola. Now the 02 wrangler is slightly different. It has a piece with the tamper proof bolts on it as well. luckily I had an awesome WERA set of screw drivers that had the right bit. The piece has a spring behind it so careful taking it out if it happens to not be the problem. Once I got mine off I could start my jeep every time. to you guys for the help...hope this helps out someone else and maybe just maybe a WERA rep sees this and hooks us up!! I don't know if Im going to replace this part...its just another safety device that sucks. If you want to know anything else about this just hit me up.
