2000 Wrangler Altinator replacemnt problem

I just replaced the alternator in my 2000 Wrangler. After I was finished I got in and started it. Started right up. Then the check engine light came on so I shut it off & opened the hood and noticed that I had not plugged the sensor in that is above the belt tension screw. So, I plugged it in and tried to restate it. NOTHING???? Anyone have any thoughts?

Not starting is probably not related to replacing the sensor plug. I assume it was the temp sensor on the thermostat?

It is more likely the vibration of the engine when you first started it caused a bad connection or you blew a fuse.
