2000 4.0 TJ coolent leaking-what to check before buying a water pump?

Just got this jeep the other day. Noticed that after driving a few miles I get about a cupor so of coolent on the ground. The coolent comes from the engine so I've ruled out the radiator. I'm guessing it's a water pump.
Questions:
1. Where else should i check before ripping out the water pump.
2. How in the heck do I change a water pump on this truck?
3. Best palce to purchase said water pump.

Thanks

Did you find out were it's leaking from?

If it is the WP just go get a new one @ AZ or discount or any auto parts store. They are very easy to replace with just simple tools.

Or you can go my route and get a high flow WP. ie flowcooler brand. And your replacing the WP also change the thermostat why your at it. It sits behind the WP.
