2" Spacer Lift -Coil Spring Rattle

I installed a 2" inch spacer lift the other week and I noticed that I had a rattle. I could not figure out where the rattle was coming from so I did some research on the forum. I got a mallet and starting hitting my skid plate, cat, exhaust and I heard the noise up front. It appears to be my front coil spring. All the other springs sound solid but that one. It rattles when I hit it with the mallet. I imagine it is just sitting on the spacer and bottom mount wrong. It appears to be seated properly. Could it be the spring is bad?

Can you post a pic? Make sure that the pigtail at the bottom of the coil is sitting in the little notch on your axle.

Thats Weird, Sure Its Not Cracked Anywhere? If Its Seated Properly It Shouldnt Rattle. Did U Put New Shocks On? If So Were They All The Correct Size?

I will have to take a pic. I did not install new shocks and i did look to see how it was seated and it looked fine. I do remember putting the pigtail in the notch but maybe it moved. I did not see any cracks on the spring.

He's right about new shocks. If you plan to wheel your rig and disco. your swaybar you will need longer shocks to compensate for the extra 2" spacer that is now there.

If you took the shocks loose, did you get them tight enough after reinstalling them.

I plan on checking that everything is tight tomorrow. I did plan on getting new shocks next year and I agree with the 2" inch spacer lift they are needed but I have already exceeded my jeep budget for this year.
