2" lift with 33's
Is it possible to run 33's with a 2 inch lift. (coils and shocks, not spacers) Would it still rub with tube fenders? I want to avoid a larger lift because of ride quality and cant afford a long arm. I searched but couldnt find any 2 inch lifts with 33's.

Yes you can, but you'll need wheel spacers or after market wheels with about 3.75'' to 4'' BS. If you go with a 33x10.50 you'll be fine. Got a freind with 33's and a BB.

I have wheels with 3.75 BS I believe. You don't think 33x12.50 is possible?

33s are possible even compelely stock.
However stock, bumps suck. And with only 2'' of lift, then off roading is still not very possible. Ask me how I know.

I thought it would work out alright, I have 31's now and they do not rub. Going to a 33 would only add 1 more inch to the top of the tire. Maybe some bumpstop adjustments and trimming. Am I right?

It's possible but it won't look good and you will have very little ability to flex unless you have "high clearance" tube flares.
There's A LOT of suspension kits and suspension / BL kit combos out there that will get you enough clearance for 33s w/out sacrificing ride quality and w/out replacing arms... and not expensive! Unless you already have the tube flares you'll end up spending more on them then some of the lift kits that are out there. I would go at least 2.5" of lift for 33s if you go with the high clearance tube flares... or at least 3" of lift w/out the high clearance flares. Some popular kits / combos are.... - OME 2.5" suspension lift w/ JKS or RC 1.25" BL and 1" MML - RC 2.5" suspension lift w/ RC 1.25" BL and 1" MML - RC 3.25" suspension lift - BDS 3" suspension lift It's better to think "what's practical" vs "what's possible" Last edited by B2CARPEN; 09-16-2009 at 04:11 AM.. |

Throw on a Permormance Accessories BL for under $100 for added clearance.

I ran 33x12.50x15s on 3.75 backspaced AR rims on a stock '01 Sport for while. They didn't rub on the control arms and didn't rub fenders or flares going over even the worst bumps. However, when it flexed: forget about it. Super stuffage.
I added a 2" BL, and it looked much more proportional and definitely gave it more room to flex. *Might* could get by offroad if I didn't disco. Still wasn't really enough though probably. (This go-round I'm going with a smallish suspension lift and 1"BL/MML.) good luck! ![]()

Just get a RC 2.5 lift and jks 1.25 BL with 1"mml, best way to clear them 33's nicely, plus theres a bunch of people that have pics of that set up. Some even run 35's with that set up
