2.4 turbo?

Has anybody installed a turbo on the 2004 TJ with the 2.4 liter engine? If so, where can I find the information? Thanks, Randy

I was to the understanding that the entire motor was different and there for you had to pull the whole motor, plus the ECU out of what ever turboed motor you found. I wouldn't waste my time what works well for ricers doesn't always convert to the truck world.

The engine is that same as the 2.4 pt cruiser turbo and 2.4 neon turbo. All you need is the turbo components and the computer, the Jeep engine will work fine, all the internals are the same as the turbo engine. Someone did do it and post a video and write-up. Turned out pretty well. AirSierra was the name I think.

sorry but its doubtful that the stock jeep 2.4 has the same compression ratio as a srt-4 2.4 turbo engine. u could run 5 psi on the stock internals. the comression ratio is too high to run the stock 13psi that the srt-4 runs stock. but if you want to do it, i know where there is a stock turbo set up off a srt-4, my buddy just went to a big turbo on his. pm me if interested.
