1999 Wrangler starting problems. Ths clicking will haunt me forever.

I just bought my first Jeep a few months ago (1999 Wrangler Sport) so today when it wouldn't start I didn't mind putting some money into it. With a new starter, starter relay, and battery it still makes some clicking sound machine gun style instead of cranking over. Could it be the neutral throw-out safety switch? Do Jeeps have those? Am I on a bad spot on the fly-wheel with the starter gears? Help me please, I'm going nuts.

Battery cables and connections good?

Even if the clamps on the ends of the cables look good, I'd still take a second and clean them up with sandpaper or a file.

Yah, They're good. Along with all fuses and other connectors. I cleaned up the ends. I haven't checked the whole wiring system top to bottom yet. I wasn't about to remove the wire covering, that black plastic that's around everything. It's there for a reason and I don't want to replace it for no reason. I'll remove it when it's absolutely necessary.

I got it!

I guess the new starter gears were either in a bad spot on the fly wheel or jammed up on the gears because all I did was put it in gear and shove it a couple of times (thanks to a suggestion from my Dad) and it fired right up. Crazy thing I guess. Thanks for the help.
