1998 Wrangler TJ 4.0 California, please help need photo
Hello all, I recently installed hood louvers on my TJ and in the process I butchered my factory emissions label with a hole saw and jig saw.

The louver turned out very nice, but i should have looked closer at the back side of the hood before cutting. Anyways, I have been on the hunt for a replacement label. I found one for a 4cyl, but mine is a 6cyl.

The Chrysler part number I need is 53013121aa. It is discontinued. If anyone has a line on one of these please let me know.

My other option is to reproduce it. The problem is I need a good image of the right original to make this. It has to be 1998, California, 4.0. If you can be of any assistance, or know someone who can, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Just got a response back from that company, they don't have it and it appears to be out of stock everywhere. Any more ideas anyone?

I may have one from my 99 TJ. Give me a few, I'll check tonight. I think I ordered my TJ with that emissions package, dont ask me why. I may have it and can take an accurate pic. If so, IM me your email addy.

thanks, hopefully that will be close enough. Kalifornia is pretty picky about this kind of stuff...

Close but no Cigar... this is off my Craigslist Hood... my CA TJ is a 99 4.0L... I didn't look at what the sticker looks like on it.

Cool! Thanks. Close, but no cigar. That is a 97 federal. Still looking for a 98 California. Can anyone help with this please?

theres tons of cars running around calif w\o that sticker. the vin tells the smog guy all he needs.

Why, exactly, are you so concerned with a label? Is it like the pillow police showing up because you removed a mattress label?

Kenc17 06-24-2014 06:54 PM

I was told by my local smog shop that they need that label for smog. If that is the case, maybe i need to find a different smog shop

chris142 06-24-2014 07:59 PM

ya sounds like they are being dumb or theres a new law ive not heard about.i see cars every day that dont have that sticker and they get smogged and registered etc

Kenc17 06-25-2014 01:40 AM

Ok sounds like i may need a new smog shop rather than a new sticker... Will try another shop.

The time now is 03:08 AM.
