1997-2001 Heater Core

Looking on WeRMopar it appears that the OEM heater core for 1997 to 2001 is discontinued. Anyone have suggestions for a replacement? Or should I just get a Spectre one and cross my fingers?

I recently noticed they were discontinued too. Now Jeep sells the Crown core for ~$100. I was talking to an OEM Jeep parts vendor here (Kolak) who said the Crown is just as good as OEM, but I am skeptical. Reviews from before they supplied to Jeep parts departments are poor. How do we know it is just a reboxed spectre part. In fact, that's what one (older) Amazon review claims. It seems impossible to know what you're buying anymore. I'd like to see them side by side.

I think our Jeeps are to the age of being stuck with perpetually replacing garbage aftermarket parts.

My Spectre fuel pump lasted just 13 months before it wouldn't even start the engine.

When you have a choice, buy American made.
