06 LJ Rubi+Metalcloak Fenders+33s+No Lift
Today I helped a buddy put on his front metalcloak overline tube fenders. Tomorrow we are going to do the rear.
I have to say, these are very well engineered and went in like they were meant to be there. Beautiful stuff.
On to the pics:
Before pic:
Everything stripped off and zip-tied out of the way:
Metalcloak fenders installed and all components bolted back down:
The inner fender will need some trimming in order to remove the upper shock mounts:
Super sweet! I will post more when we get the rear ones on and 33s.

What's not lined up here? Looks crappy. For that kind of money, is that the finished product? I'd be very dissappointed with that.

the camera.
Ever look through iron sights on a gun and move your head and not the weapon? Same effect with the shock and cutout.

Can't wait to see the finished product... they should do the fender liner with a gap guard, especially for applications with a body lift.
Did you also consider AEV highline kit? How does this compare pricewise?

Yeah.....I considered that. But he said in his own words, "The inner fender will need some trimming in order to remove the upper shock mounts". If that is the case, I stand by my comment.

Everything fits quite well as far as the inner fender, grill and under hood components. It does seem to need some slight massaging around the upper shock mounts (if you need to take them off) and the camera angle is adding a bit to how it looks.
It's not my Jeep so I did not consider AEV or anything else.

I like them, just seems odd on such a clean and stock ride.
On a $30k mint rubi (have actually NEVER seen a 4 year old rubicon THAT clean!!) I'd have gone AEV. Tube fenders just seems like Miss America dating a rapper...make it dirty somehow hahah

You can shift the fronts to fit the shock mounts.. Just loosen the mounting bolts and presto it will move to where you want.

Are these the arched or overline fenders? And also, is that the 4" removable flare?
