Hello everyone,
I have a 2006 Unlimited LJ, auto, 3" Zone, RE upper and lowers and 31s (until I can regear and get 33s). What I am looking to do now is replace the muffler with a thrush welded to give it a better sound. I know most of, if not all of the stock muffler is covered by the skid plate (which is supporting TC and I think possibly the transmission too). I was going to go to a local Meineke/exhaust shop to have them do the install and welds. What I was wondering was if there is a way to have them do this without removing the skid plate. I don't know how qualified the Meineke employees are and don't know if I feel comfortable allowing them/trusting them to drop skid and properly support everything while they do the muffler. Is there anyway to get this job done without removing the skid? At least that way maybe I can suggest that as an option. Thanks!
